After a rough start, the Met Bar and Grill has now come into its own. They have made many improvements to not only the food quality from the kitchen, but also the wine list and their service. If you tried the Met Bar and Grill within the first 3 months of opening and were disappointed, you should definitely give it another try as the changes are noticeable. There are still many mixed reviews online around service however. The Met is very crowded on weekend nights and when you’d expect a lot of mall traffic so beware which night you choose to do dine.

Burgers range between $12-$20 depending upon how many of the “extras” you get. You can choose between meat, turkey, or veggie burgers, type of bun, cheese, vegetables and any other topping you might desire including eggs. The vertical grill is an interesting site to see upon entering the restaurant from the mall. You can order any of the special burgers that the Met has created or you can create your own.

Steaks and other entrees are well prepared and thought out. I’d recommend the flank steak which is the best I’ve tasted and the Bearnaise to go with it is well made and the right consistency. Try the root vegetable gratin or the mashed potatoes for a side. The Met has recently made improvements to both that are noticeable.

The salads are very fresh and offer variety including the arugula salad served with pistachio crusted goat cheese and just ther perfect amount of shaved parmesan. The steak bombs are a unique appetizer dish to give a try if you’re in the mood for something different. They are essentially steak and cheese stuffed egg rolls. Different but tasty. Another great appetizer to give a try is the chipotle hummus with pine nuts. The Met makes their own pita bread that is served along with it offered up warm and light.

The wine list is above average and minor changes are made every few weeks in order to keep things interesting for those who love vino. The cocktails served up by the very creative and attentive bar staff are plentiful and the martini list is long.
